Cycling in London

Cycling continues to grow in London, with well over 650,000 journeys being made by bicycle each day.

Sadiq Khan, the Mayor of London, wants to make London a byword for cycling around the world. Over the next five years, more will be invested than ever before to create more safe, easy and well-connected cycle routes across the Capital; to encourage more healthy and active travel.

New cycling infrastructure will help more Londoners get about quickly without having to use a car, which will benefit people’s health, improve air quality and make London’s roads safer.
